ABOUT NAMASTEYCHINA

Built in the space
between two civilisations.

NamasteyChina exists because language schools rarely understand markets, and consultancies rarely teach the language. We do both, from the same team.

Our Story

Founded on lived experience, not theory

NamasteyChina was founded by Heena Mukadam, whose years spent immersed in China and Taiwan shaped a simple observation: India's engagement with China is held back as much by language gaps as by information gaps. Closing one without the other only gets you halfway there.

That observation became two products under one roof — the Mandarin Academy, teaching the language with real structure and accountability, and Consultancy Intelligence, delivering the market and policy context that language alone doesn't provide. A dedicated team of instructors, researchers, and analysts runs both day to day, so the work keeps moving whether Heena is on the ground in China, Taiwan, or India.

A Note From Heena

I started NamasteyChina because I kept meeting people who could recite China's headlines but couldn't read a single character — and analysts who understood the language but never left the classroom to see what it actually built. I wanted a place that closes both gaps, honestly and without shortcuts. Whether you're here for your first HSK class or your first briefing, welcome — I'm glad you found us.

What We Believe

Three principles behind every course and every briefing

01

Primary sources over headlines

Every briefing traces back to a real source. We'd rather be precise than fast.

02

Structure over shortcuts

Real courses have pace, exams, and accountability. Ours do too.

03

Clarity over jargon

Language learning and geopolitics are both intimidating fields. We keep it plain.
